EURELECTRIC Renewable energy is of primary importance in meeting the challenge of climate change and for security of supply. The Union of the Electricity Industry-EURELECTRIC supports the use of market mechanisms to increase the contribution to our energy supply from renewables. "Green power" is an ideal way to highlight the benefits to consumers, and EURELECTRIC supports progress in this direction. In particular, EURELECTRIC is delighted to participate in this 4th European Conference on Green Power Marketing 2005. The Conference will serve to raise the profile of this important topic in electricity production and marketing. Juho Lipponen, Head of Energy Policy & Generation at EURELECTRIC, Brussels |

SwissEnergy The Federal Office of Energy supports the Swiss energy companies' efforts to further increase the share of electricity produced from renewable energy sources and to participate in Europe's dynamic green power markets. |

RECS RECS believes in a strong, transparent and liquid market for renewable energy in Europe. In order to make the green energy market as transparent as possible RECS believes in international harmonised certificates systems. These systems facilitate the national and international markets and avoid double counting and double selling of green energy. We therefore believe that RECS is the right partner of the 4th European Conference on Green Power Marketing 2005. The development of the (voluntary) demand of green power in Europe and the implementation of certificate systems go hand in hand with each other. Peter Niermeijer, Secretary General RECS |

dena The Deutsche Energie-Agentur GmbH (German Energy Agency - dena) is the German competence centre for energy efficiency and renewable energies. Its manifold objectives include the rational and thus environmentally friendly production, conversion and use of energy, and the development of sustainable energy systems with a greater emphasis on renewable energy sources. To this end dena initiates, coordinates and implements innovative projects and campaigns at a national and international level. It provides information to end consumers, works with all social groups active in politics and the economy and develops strategies for the future supply of energy. The Berlin conference on green power marketing is a great opportunity to meet and discuss what is a rapidly emerging segment of the energy market. Thanks to products offered by green power providers, energy consumers can decide themselves on the precise power mix supplied to them, facilitating liberalisation and helping create more sustainable electricity markets. |

EUGENE EUGENE, the European Green Electricity Network, welcomes the 4th European Conference on Green Power Marketing 2005 as an essential opportunity to stimulate the voluntary green power market in Europe. By providing a harmonised and transparent labelling framework, EUGENE aims to encourage the development of green electricity and to ensure true environmental benefits of green electricity products. EUGENE also plays a useful role in driving the demand for labelled green electricity by promoting green electricity benefits to large consumers, thus creating a demand-pull for renewable energies. Please find more information on EUGENE or subscribe to the EUGENE-newsletter under http://www.eugenestandard.org. |
